A Dialogue Between
A loss of control by the hand against clay typically forms undesirable outcomes. Here, the hand and the medium are equal actors in an improvisation where the result is left uncensored. A series of actions and reactions-pushes and pulls-become a memory of the dialogue preserved in its form.
The records of these dialogues reveal moments of slow and swift hand motions, against the stiffness and softness of clay. At times, the clay is pushed beyond its limits and pushes back or gives in. At other times, the hand and the medium achieve perfect harmony.
